Friday 27 July: Int 2/ Jr High 2
July 28th, 2007 Posted in CampsToday was the last day of camp for the intermediate/ junior high 2 camp session. We started the day off right with an optional Sunrise Hike, followed by a polar bear swim. At breakfast, we feasted on Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese frosting. After our areas of responsibility cleaning, we proceeded to cabin check outs. The small groups met for their last time, and participated in closure activities to bring them together forever. This was followed by a wonderful morning prayer service led by Fr. Ernie Campbell, and then we proceeded to the BBQ, Mitchell’s awesome slideshow, and then the final set of jump-ins. Then we were made part of a very special event, a surprise dedication and commissioning of the Boat House as the Campbell Boat House for Fr. Ernie’s 35 years of contributions to Camp Cross. We followed this up by enjoying the newly commissioned Campbell Boat House at waterfront. Then, sadly, it was time for the first boat of campers to leave us, marking the official end to this session. C is for Critters, A is for Ants, M is for Meals, and P is for Pants, We Love Camp, We Love Camp, WE LOVE CAMP CROSS!
